Summer New Hope / Lambertville Bridge Plein Air Painting

This is one of my favorite plein air paintings I did  couple years ago along the river in Lambertville,  NJ. I was painting the bridge from the Lambertville Marina. I feel it has a beautiful quality of light and all of the interesting physical features you get when painting outdoors on location that I strive for. There is a rich just freshly painted quality that is timeless and rarely captured to this painting. It reminds me of when I was in high school and found Monet then a few years later went up to see his show at the Metropolitan Museum of art back in the 70's
